Bio

Mr. Scudi has been practicing law in California for over 20 years. Prior to moving to California he spent seven years with the prestigious law firm of Clark Hill, representing Fortune 500 companies in Detroit, Michigan. In addition, his business experience includes one year as Chief Operating Officer of a cross-border manufacturer (maquiladora), with five plants in Mexico and over 3,000 employees.Current practice areas include the representation of companies doing cross-border business; Mexican agricultural producers shipping fresh product to the U.S. and buying supplies and machinery for importation into Mexico; U.S. and Foreign suppliers and distributors; and U.S. companies and financial institutions doing business in or with California.

Mr. Scudi has a broad range of professional experience: construction litigation (representing Bechtel Power and general contractors); mergers and acquisitions (representing sellers to companies like Newell Rubbermaid); U.S. Department of Commerce “Anti Dumping Investigations”; secured transactions for banks insured by the United States Export Bank; regulatory investigations and Civil litigation including food born pathogens; product failures and recalls; insurance claims for collapse and product liability; licensing and regulatory issues; civil and criminal investigations instituted by the U.S. Department of Justice; business start-ups and fund raising; commercial and industrial leases; real property acquisition; (including U.S. and Mexico); Visa applications; customs and duties; and commercial litigation involving most of the foregoing.

As the firm’s Managing Partner, Mr. Scudi stays involved in the representation of all of the firm’s clients, and works closely with his partners and the firm’s associates to assure quality results.
